Shared ownership
A shared ownership scheme helps people who cannot afford to buy a home outright and buying your home through such a scheme could be your first step to owning your own property. Through shared ownership you buy a share of the property, usually from a housing association or registered social landlord, and pay rent on the remaining share you do not own. Once you have owned the property for one year you can buy a further percentage share in the property or purchase the property outright. These procedures are known as staircasing.
The purchase procedures must be completed within specific timescales. At Taylor Willcocks we have extensive experience of dealing with those procedures and will deal with your first purchase efficiently, sympathetically and cost effectively.
